AIR RESCUE NY / BUILDING COORDINATION
Equipment decisions, contractor documents and building access belong in the same plan. We help Manhattan owners work through the requirements for an HVAC repair or installation.
Calls answered 24/7. Appointment and equipment availability confirmed separately.
01
We help with certificate-of-insurance requests, W-9s, and alteration-package information. The starting point is the requirements issued by your board or managing agent. A general statement of insurance coverage is not a substitute for the specific documents the building asks to review.
If the building requires particular coverage wording or endorsements, those requests need to be checked for the job. Document preparation and board acceptance are separate steps; we do not promise approval by every building.
02
Establish who controls access, which work hours apply, and whether the building requires elevator reservations or limits equipment choices. These can affect the proposed installation even when the replacement unit itself is available.
An owner arranging work inside an apartment may need a superintendent or managing agent involved in access or shared-system questions. Agreeing on those responsibilities before scheduling avoids leaving the equipment inquiry disconnected from the building arrangements.
03
For an apartment PTAC, use PTAC repair and replacement. For fan coils or water-source heat pumps, use building-connected equipment inquiries. For a shared boiler, see boiler service.
For ductless equipment, see ductless installation and repair. Share any building requirements with the service inquiry.
Send the proposed work and the instructions you have received from your board, managing agent or superintendent.
